Topic Research: Nursery Rhymes

These are three nursery rhymes that I'm considering to use for my storybook:

1. "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep"  Source: Mother Goose by W.W. Denslow
This nursery rhyme could be like the base of one my stories (or one of my stories), telling it from the point of view of Black Sheep as he makes his deliveries of wool to "the master," "the dame," and "the little boy who lives down the lane."  As he makes his deliveries, he asks each person how their day was and they reply with stories from different nursery rhymes.

2. "The Tarts"  Source: Mother Goose by W.W. Denslow
This could be "the dame's" story (the dame being the Queen of Hearts).  The Queen of Hearts tells Black Sheep about her long day of making some tarts, having them stolen by the knave, and the king having to get them back from him.  She then offers him one of her tarts.

3. "Little Jack Horner"  Source: Mother Goose by W.W. Denslow

Little Jack Horner is "the little boy who lives down the lane."  He tells Black Sheep about how his mother made him a Christmas pie for being a good boy, and then offers him a piece of his pie.

The Black sheep illustrated by William Wallace Denslow, from Mother Goose (1901).
